The whole night,handled.
What it costs, what arrives with me, and how booking works. If you’d rather skip ahead and see whether your date is open, that takes about ten seconds.
What it
costs.
Most weddings land between $1,800 and $2,500, depending on hours and what the day needs.
Every booking is priced on its own. Tell me the date, the venue and roughly how long you want music running, and I’ll give you a real number for your night.
The fee covers the hours we agree on. There are no additional service charges or overtime fees for the agreed event. Setup and teardown are included in the quoted fee.
What arrives
with me.
Ceremony and reception sound, wireless microphones for the officiant and the toasts, dance-floor lighting, and MC services.
It arrives with me and it leaves with me. I set up before your guests arrive and I break down after the last song.
Whatever we agree on is written into the agreement by name, so what you’re getting is on the page in front of you before you sign it.
The shape
of the night.
A wedding is more than a dance floor. The ceremony needs cues, the toasts need a microphone that works, dinner needs music people can talk over, and the floor needs somebody watching it.
I emcee as well as DJ. Introductions, announcements, and the cues that tell a full room what happens next. I speak when the night needs it and let the music carry the rest.
If the ceremony runs twenty minutes late, everything after it moves. That happens at most weddings, and moving it is part of the job.
Your songs,
your list.
The Music Planner is where your first dance, your must-plays and your do-not-plays go. It saves as you type and you can finish it whenever.
Its song search looks through my own library, the tracks that travel with me on a drive. Ask for something it doesn’t turn up and I’ll have it downloaded before the day, so on your night it plays from the drive like everything else.
For a surprise on the floor I can usually pull one down on the spot, where the venue’s connection allows.
You keep the list. I follow it, and I read the room while I do.
How booking
works.
Check your date. If it’s open, tell me about the night and I’ll send you an agreement to read.
A booking is confirmed when the Client signs the event agreement and Justin Dietz countersigns it. Until then the date isn’t held.
No deposit is required. Full payment must be received no later than seven (7) calendar days before the event date. Preferred payment methods are Cash, Check, or Venmo.
More of the practical questions, from overtime to cancelling to what happens if I’m ill, are answered on the questions page.
Where I
work.
I work Grants Pass, Medford, Ashland and Jacksonville, and I travel about an hour out from the Rogue Valley in any direction.
One event per day. Yours is the only one on my calendar that day, so I arrive early, I stay to the end, and the night has my whole attention.
One event per day. Yours.
Tell me about your night. I answer every one myself, usually the same day.
